2023 NCCCIAP: Juried and Biennial Exhibitions

National Conference on Contemporary Cast Iron Art and Practices
April 5th - April 8th, 2023

The Steering Committee for the National Conference on Contemporary Cast Iron Art and Practices invites students and professional artists attending the conference to submit images for the 2023 NCCCIAP Juried and Biennial Exhibitions. Each participant may submit up to two pieces for consideration. Art may be 2D or 3D, but must incorporate iron literally or conceptually. Sculpture, installation, drawing, video, and photography are all encouraged. To be considered for the 2023 exhibitions, Art must have been created within 2021, 2022, and 2023. No works completed prior to 2021 will be considered.

Work must be ready for installation with appropriate hardware and hanging devices (bolts, frames, hanging wire, hooks, etc.). If your work requires a pedestal,  please bring a pedestal to accommodate your work. Failure to bring a pedestal may exclude your work from the exhibitions. If your work is video media, you must provide presentation equipment. All works will be considered for the Juried Exhibition and curated themed exhibitions. Artists are responsible for installing art weighing over 100+lbs and works that require complex installation processes.

All works will be considered for the Juried Exhibition and curated themed exhibitions. Accepted artworks will be placed with the appropriate exhibition.

Exhibition Dates

Pick up at the exhibition location no later than noon

Your entry submission will have two steps in order to submit.

#1: Provide a photo(s) of the work you wish to submit.

Within the online submission form:
• Each applicant may upload two JPG images per entry (maximum 3 entries)
• Image files must be formatted to 72dpi, and 2200 pixels on the longest side.
• Name the image file with your Last Name, First Name, and Title of the piece.
• Example: “Doe_Jan_Fire.jpg”

#2: Provide the following descriptive information about the entry.
• Artist last name:
• Title of work:
• Year created:
• Medium:
• Dimensions: Height, Width, and Depth (HWD):
        • Example: “Smith, Craving Fe, 2020, Iron, 32 x 40 x 10 inches

Note: Video and audio content will be screened for use in accordance with respectful conference content.

Exhibitors must attend the conference to participate. Hand-delivered artwork only! Works must be dropped off at at the appropriate exhibition spaces no later than noon on Wednesday, April 5, and picked up no later than noon on Sunday, April 9. No shipping.
