Demonstrator: Alex Gelderman and Ariana Sellers

Alex will host a demonstration that shows the basics of casting using candy making as a medium. This activity will serve as an introduction to casting, provide educators with another avenue in which to present this information, deepen the understanding of the medium, and inspire future Sloss generations. Alex will create cornstarch molds that echo sand molds, use objects around the house as patterns, and pour melted candies into them to create castings.
